Backbeat bar gig
On Thursday March 30 we hosted our first ever 'Band Night'!
With 7 bands attending our week 'Band Programme' across both our academies in Term 1 we decided it was time to give these hard working musicians their own show!
The show was performed at Backbeat Bar, a fantastic live venue in Auckland City run by our partners at the New Zealand Rockshop.
The room was packed with the band's friends, families and EMA Tutors who were all there to show their support and whoop and holler throughout the night!
For some performers it was their first time performing on stage and it was amazing to see the joy (and relief!) when they finished their sets. A huge part of our philosophy at Eliette's Music Academy is building confidence not only with your instrument, but in public situations and we were so proud of everyone who got on stage and who are now excited to get back on it!
The audience was treated to a wide mix of songs including 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barckley, 'Californication' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and 'Santeria' by Sublime to name a few
A night to remember for all involved and we can't wait for round 2 in June!
